Federal Recovery Teams to Visit Castle Rock

Denver, CO -- A federal/state disaster recovery team is coming to Castle Rock in conjunction with the Hayman Recovery Assistance Center. The center is located at:

Castle Rock, CO
The recovery team, staffed with representatives from the state of Colorado and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), will be available starting Monday, July 8. Representatives will be on hand daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. until further notice.
"This is an opportunity for people to sit down and talk face-to-face with someone that can answer questions about their recovery needs," said Tommy Grier, state coordinating officer for the disaster.
Recovery teams will provide recovery information and written materials about various assistance programs available to homeowners, renters and businesses. Representatives of state, federal, and voluntary agencies will be available, including the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). This is also an opportunity for homeowners to receive information about wildfire mitigation, flood insurance and safety tips.
"We're trying to make the process easier for people by bringing recovery teams to the communities and areas where they live," said Federal Coordinating Officer Steve Emory.
A similarly staffed Disaster Recovery Center is located in Woodland Park and officials will also open a center at Conifer High School from July 18-20. Individuals may visit any of the centers. All locations are open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
Individuals are encouraged to register for assistance prior to visiting the center by calling FEMA's registration number 1-800-621-FEMA (3362). Those with hearing- or speech- impairments may call toll-free TTY 1-800-462-7585. The registration lines are operational from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., seven days a week.
