EAGLE PASS, Texas -- Four weeks since President Bush signed a disaster declaration for the Texas counties affected by the severe storms and tornadoes of April 21-24, more than $6.3 million in disaster aid has been approved for residents and businesses.

FEMA coordinates the federal government's role in preparing for, preventing, mitigating the effects of, responding to, and recovering from all domestic disasters, whether natural or man-made, including acts of terror.
