Charleston, WV -- When applicants for disaster assistance have questions about federal and state programs, they can get face-to-face assistance at the temporary Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs).
There are seven temporary DRCs currently open throughout the disaster area in West Virginia. A list of declared counties with DRCs follows:

Visitors can get their questions answered about any of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) assistance programs, including grants for temporary housing assistance and housing repair; and low-interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) for homeowners, renters and businesses of all sizes.
"We encourage people to call the teleregistration number to get the application process started before they visit the DRC," said Louis Botta, federal coordinating officer for FEMA. "However, the DRC staff will still be able to answer basic questions about programs available."
"People affected by the disaster who have questions can visit any DRC in the state," added Botta. "It doesn't matter if they live in a county hosting a DRC."
