FEMA Mitigation Specialists Set Up At Home Depot, Lowe's

CLINTON, Miss. – Federal Emergency Management Agency mitigation specialists will be available to help people learn more about rebuilding stronger and safer homes Tuesday through Saturday (May 27-31) from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at four area home improvement stores.

Specialists will offer suggestions on how to deal with mold and mildew, select a contractor and apply for financial assistance. They will also have information on how to protect homes from future flooding and the National Flood Insurance Program.

FEMA’s personnel will be set up at Home Depots in Brookhaven, Clinton and Vicksburg along with a Lowe’s in West Jackson. They will be available to answer questions and offer literature regarding ways to construct more resilient housing at the following locations:
