LOS ALAMOS, N.M. -- The Office of Cerro Grande Fire Claims (OCGFC) has paid a total of $419 million in compensation, as of September 5, 2002. 16,934 claims have been received and of those 15,687 or 93 percent of the claims have received a final determination.
