Dededo, GUAM -- The number of reduction sites available to the public will be reduced to three beginning on Wednesday, February 26. Effective on that date, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will cease accepting debris at the reduction site located in Tamuning.

Closure of the site will allow a final measurement of the debris to be taken, followed by the final debris reduction process.

As reduction sites are closed, the metals are being transported to a recycler, construction debris is going to a hardfill, and the vegetative debris will be ground up into mulch and made available to the general public for beneficial reuse.

Residents will continue to have access to the three remaining sites located at Yigo, Dededo, and Barrigada. The reduction site in Barrigada will remain open until March 20.
