WICHITA, Kan. -- The Teleregistration and Helpline numbers for FEMA have changed hours beginning on Tuesday, May 18, 1999. They will be closed on Sundays and have changed hours of operation on the other days.

The toll-free Teleregistration number 1-800-462-9029 (TDD 1-800-462-7585) will operate Monday through Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Helpline toll-free number is 1-800-525-0321 (TDD 1-800-462-7585) and hours are 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Some victims of the May 3 severe storms and tornadoes have moved since the disaster occurred. Some have failed to keep FEMA informed of their current addresses, making it difficult for the agency to find them. Anyone who has applied for disaster aid and moved since they initially registered should call FEMA's toll-free Helpline at 1-800-525-0321 (TTY 1-800-462-7585).
