Waldorf, MD -- Local businesses and libraries are offering free brochures produced by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) on how to reduce disaster risks, "The information we're making available will show how to reduce or eliminate the effects of natural disasters," said Federal Coordinating Officer Tom Davies.

The brochures are distributed in areas that suffered damages from the April 28 tornado.

"It's important to alert residents to what they can do to make their homes and businesses as safe as possible before a disaster strikes," said State Coordinating Officer Donald L. Keldsen. That's why we want to get these materials into their hands."
