Beckley, WV -- Federal and state officials have contracted to install additional portable showers and toilets for use by residents affected by the recent severe storms, flooding and landslides in McDowell and Mingo counties.

The additions will bring the total to six portable showers and more than 330 portable toilets.

In McDowell County, six-head portable showers are at Frog Level Road, Coalwood; Fanning Funeral Home, Iaeger; Jakes Grocery Store in Worth; Panther Creek Missionary Baptist Church, and in Avondale at the foot of the bridge leading to Ritter Hollow.

Portable toilets were installed in the following McDowell County locations (number of toilets in parentheses): Kimball (32); Coalwood (64); Panther (36); Johnny Cake Hollow (6); Zach's Branch (12); Northfork Hollow (50); Iaeger (32); Roderfield (12); Raysal (12); Hemphill (12); Bradshaw (18), and Route 80 (52).

In Mingo County, portable toilets are at the Old B&L warehouse in Maher.
