Poplar Bluff, MO -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) are presenting free workshops, "Rebuilding a Safer, Stronger Community," from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, at Three Rivers Community College, 2080 Three Rivers Boulevard, Poplar Bluff.

The free workshops will help homeowners, renters, business owners, builders and lenders learn how to diminish damage from severe storms and tornadoes. Anyone interested in building a stronger, safer community should attend one of these workshops.

The workshops will include presentations by experts on:

Featured speakers are Kelly Hooper, meteorologist-National Weather Service, and Larry Tanner, research associate-Wind Science and Engineering, Texas Technical University.
