Lenexa, KS -- Officials from the State of Kansas and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will open a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) to assist individuals hard-hit by the recent tornadoes and storms. The center will open in Seward County on Tuesday,
June 3 at 9 a.m.

Initial Hours of Operation:
Tuesday June 3 through Saturday June 7 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m
Sunday, June 8 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Effective Monday June 9 the hours of operation will be:
Mondays through Saturdays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m (Closed Sundays) until further notice

The center will be staffed with experts to answer questions and provide recovery information and written materials about various assistance programs available to individuals and business owners. Spanish speaking personnel will be available.

Some disaster programs include Individuals and Households housing assistance and other needs assistance programs, and low interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

Individuals who have been affected by the disaster are urged to start the application process before visiting the center by calling FEMA's toll-free number at 1-800-621-FEMA (3362). Hearing and speech impaired individuals may call TTY at 1-800-462-7585.
