COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- An actuality on the last day to register for disaster assistance is now available on the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA's) Radio Network. Radio stations can get the interview by simply calling 1-800-323-5248.
Thursday, July 15, is the official deadline for individuals, families and businesses affected by the severe storms, hail, wind and flooding of April 29-May 19 to register for federal and state assistance. However, because of an error in calculation earlier, registrations will actually be accepted through July 16, as Dave Grier, the deputy federal coordinating officer for the disaster, explains in the interview.
