COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- he Federal Emergency Management Agency's Public Affairs Office, located in the Colorado Springs Disaster Field Office, will close on Friday, July 16.
After that date, questions from print and broadcast media concerning the presidential disaster declared for Bent, Crowley, Custer, El Paso, Las Animas, Fremont, Kiowa, Larimer, Las Animas, Otero, Pueblo, and Weld counties for the flooding that occurred between April 29 and May 19 should be addressed to Public Affairs Officer Jim Chesnutt, 303/235-4948, in FEMA's regional headquarters in Denver.
The deadline for victims of the flooding to register for disaster assistance is Friday, July 16.
