PASADENA, Calif.  -- The Disaster Recovery Center at the National Orange Fairgrounds, 689 South "E" Street in San Bernardino, will transition to a U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Disaster Loan Outreach Center (DLOC) on Monday, Nov. 19.

Hours will be: Mon. - Fri., 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sat., 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and closed on Sundays. The center also will be closed for Thanksgiving on Nov. 22.

SBA customer service representatives at the DLOC will be available to help applicants fill out disaster loan applications or get loan information. The SBA is the federal government's primary source of money for the long-term rebuilding of disaster-damaged private property.

SBA helps homeowners and renters, businesses of all sizes, and private, nonprofit organizations fund repairs or rebuilding efforts, and cover the cost of replacing lost or disaster-damaged property. These disaster loans cover losses not fully compensated by insurance or other recovery assistance and do not duplicate benefits of other agencies or organizations.

Businesses or individuals unable to visit the DLOC may obtain information by calling toll-free: 1-800-659-2955 or TTY 1-800-877-8339. Lines are open 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily (PST). Californians, affected by the wildfires, can also visit SBA at www.sba.gov/services/disasterassistance.

FEMA coordinates the federal government's role in preparing for, preventing, mitigating the effects of, responding to, and recovering from all domestic disasters, whether natural or man-made, including acts of terror.
