National Earthquake Study Will Be Released Sept. 20

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency will release the findings of a national earthquake risk study that identifies and ranks the nation's high-risk and high-loss areas for earthquakes on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, at the National Earthquake Risk Management Conference, Doubletree Hotel/Seattle Airport, Seattle, Wash., Sept. 17 - 22.

The conference is sponsored by the Western States Seismic Policy Council, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the United States Geological Survey and the Cascadia Region Earthquake Workgroup.
