Box 12233 Mail Drop K2-05 Research Triangle Park, North Carolina 27709 Delivery Instructions Mike Rowley is a technical information specialist and project officer in the National Toxicology Program (NTP) at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS). Since 1972, Rowley has worked in support of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and the NTP carcinogenesis and toxicology testing programs. He worked on the NCI’s Carcinogenesis Bioassay Database System (CBDS) from its initial development at the NCI Frederick Cancer Research Center in 1973. In 1979, along with Errol Zeiger, Ph.D., he was the project manager for the development of the Environmental Mutagenesis Program database and collection system. In 1981, along with Gloria Nicholson he developed the Chemtrack information system. Since 1995 he has been responsible for directing the development of the Toxicology Database Management System (TDMS) and for developing database systems in support of the testing program. In 1997 he developed the first NTP web servers and for the next several years was responsible for web development and content for these servers. Rowley received a bachelor’s degree (magna cum laude) in applied mathematics in 1972 and attended graduate school in biostatistics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Before joining NIEHS in 1979, he worked with contractor organizations for the NCI. His efforts at NIEHS have resulted in many honors including 20l NIH Merit Awards and performance awards.
