May is Brain Tumor Awareness Month

Join ABTA and other members of the North American Brain Tumor Coalition (NABTC) in boosting brain tumor awareness. Locally: Brain Tumor Awareness Month is the perfect time to order brain tumor awareness wristbands for your family, friends, and co-workers. Purchase grey wristbands from ABTA. Nationally: Support the legislative priorities of NABTC.

Cell Phones and Brain Tumors

A new research review, "The Controversy about a Possible Relationship between Mobile Phone Use and Cancer," appears in the current issue of Environmental Health Journal. Read the review. While there is still no direct evidence that cell phones definitively cause brain tumors, researchers and physicians continue to debate a possible link. The Oligodendroglioma Roundtable

The American Brain Tumor Association convened a gathering of thirteen distinguished researchers in Chicago last month to determine strategic directions in the research funding of a rare brain tumor called oligodendroglioma. The ABTA/Jacobs Oligodendroglioma Roundtable discussion addressed the special challenges to progress in the the research and treatment of this small disease population.

9th Biennial ABTA Patient/Family/Survivor Meeting
