| OMIE is a novel, HIPAA-compliant, networked cooperative system for medical providers to exchange clinical data. The system iscentered on a flexible database system for managing structured and unstructured data which allows digitization of paperdocuments, integration of legacy systems and other EMRs, and streamlining of workflows. It currently relies on wirelesscommunications and the use of tablet-format portable computers for the clinical user interface. |
