FEMA’s Software Program for Estimating Potential Losses from Disasters

HAZUS-MH is a powerful risk assessment software program for analyzing potential losses from floods, hurricane winds and earthquakes. In HAZUS-MH, current scientific and engineering knowledge is coupled with the latest geographic information systems (GIS) technology to produce estimates of hazard-related damage before, or after a disaster occurs.

Federal, State and local government agencies and the private sector can order HAZUS-MH free-of-charge from the FEMA Publication Warehouse. Download the order form to mail or fax your request.

HAZUS-MH MR3 Patch 2
The HAZUS-MH MR3 Patch 2 makes significant adjustments and incorporates improvements in the Flood, Earthquake and Hurricane models, and the HAZUS-MH Shell. Note: Operation of Patch 2 requires installation of Service Pack 5 (ArcGIS 9.2 should already have been installed as part of the HAZUS-MH MR3 installation). Read about the changes.
