AUSTIN, Texas -- Contractors and business owners interested in working with the federal government following Hurricane Ike can learn more about the subject by attending a free workshop in Galveston in February.

The Bid and Proposal Preparation Workshop will be held Thursday, Feb. 5, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 2920 Ave. M ½, Galveston, Texas.

The event is sponsored by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Galveston Councilwoman Dr. Linda Colbert, Councilman Tarris Woods, the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
