NIH Academic Research Enhancement Award (AREA) Grants

The Recovery Act Limited Competition: Academic Research Enhancement Award (R15) RFA-OD-09-007 maintains the same objectives as the AREA Program Announcement (PA-06-042), but increases the funding limit to $300,000 in direct costs for up to three years, and extends eligibility to institutions that have received no more than $6 million dollars in funding from the National Institutes of Health. Applications for these Recovery Act-funded awards must be received by September 24, 2009.
