Fiscal Year 2008 Program Information

Funding: Authorized $40 million for Fiscal Year (FY) 2006 and FY 2007, and $80 million for FY 2008.

Application Submission Dates and Times

Severe Repetitive Loss Program (SRL) Application Period Reopening:

FEMA previously advised that applicants for the Severe Repetitive Loss Program that were designated as Target Severe Repetitive Loss States (i.e. Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Illinois, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, and California) that they had until May 30, 2008 to submit applications or additional applications to FEMA through E-Grants.  Due to unforeseen difficulties during application, FEMA will reopen the application submission period from June 27, 2008 until the close of the application period on July 31, 2008 at 11:59:59 p.m. EDT.  If applications are not submitted by July 31, 2008 at 11:59:59 p.m. EDT, FEMA will consider the failure to submit applications for such projects as an express indication that the impacted state does not wish to participate further.  No additional consideration will be given for later submissions of SRL applications.  Applicants that successfully submitted their applications on or before May 30, 2008 DO NOT need to resubmit.

January, 2008 Application Period Opening Announcement:

With the publication of the SRL program guidance on January 14, 2008, the application period will open for State and local communities to begin work on and incur costs for developing eligible project subapplications.
