50 Years of BLSA Recognized: Extended Symposium Looks at Findings, Future of Longitudinal Research

For 5 decades, the Baltimore Longitudinal Study of Aging has studied older adults to answer the question: “What is healthy aging?” Researchers gathered at the Nathan W. Shock Symposium to honor the study’s past and look to its future.


Discovering the Secrets of Long, Healthy Lives

An NIA study is recruiting healthy siblings in their 80s and older and their children to find out what genetic, lifestyle, and other factors enable them to live so long and so well. The results could benefit future generations.
