P.L. 108-5 – Continuing Resolution (CR) for FY 2003
On February 7, 2003, the President signed into law H.J. Res. 18, as P.L. 108-5, the eighth
continuing resolution for Fiscal Year (FY) 2003. This legislation provides funding through
February 20 to keep Federal programs, including NIH, operating in FY 2003. This legislation was
sponsored by Representative Bill Young (R-FL), Chairman, House Committee on Appropriations; passed
the House on January 28, 2003, by a voice vote; and passed the Senate on January 29 by unanimous
consent.
