SEE ALSO: As part of its efforts to speed discoveries across the biomedical continuum, NCRR is working to better connect scientists with one another, as well as with patients and communities across the nation. These connections bring together innovative research teams and the power of shared resources, multiplying the opportunities to improve human health. Biomedical Informatics Research NetworkThis consortium of universities and research groups supports the integration of data, expertise, and unique technologies to spur scientific advances that would be difficult or impossible in the context of individual laboratories. READ MORE >> Clinical and Translational Informatics NetworkingThe objective of this February 4-5, 2009 meeting was to bring together individuals who provide informatics support to clinical and translational researchers for a discussion about solutions to shared challenges in research informatics. The focus of the meeting was on smaller research institutions as well as those in regions with less research funding. VIEW WORKSHOP PRESENTATIONS IDeANetThis project—an outgrowth of NCRR's IDeA Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence program—provides researchers with broad bandwidth Internet connections to expand opportunities for research collaboration and to promote greater inclusion of under-represented minority and rural populations in research. READ MORE >> Clinical Research NetworksThis project—part of the NIH Roadmap for Medical Research—is intended to promote and expand clinical research informatics networks that can rapidly facilitate high-quality clinical studies that address multiple research questions. READ MORE >> National Centers for Biomedical ComputingThese centers—funded under the NIH Roadmap for Biomedical Computing—form the core of the effort to build the nation's computational infrastructure for biomedical computing. READ MORE National Technology Centers for Networks and PathwaysThe primary goal of this project—part of the NIH Roadmap for Medical Research—is to develop new technologies for studying the dynamics of molecular interactions within cells.
