Paulison, Senior FEMA Officials Provide Overview of FEMA Operations
FEMA Director David Paulison and senior FEMA officials briefed reporters Friday on FEMA's operations and preparations for hurricane season. Director Paulison and FEMA's division directors discussed the process for declaring disasters, the agency's individual and public assistance programs, FEMA's logistical capabilities in moving assets into a disaster area, and the efforts of Emergency Response and Urban Search and Rescue teams designated to respond to disasters.
