Public Health Genomics, test tubesUse of Diagnostic Test Authorized in Response to Swine Flu Outbreak in Humans
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) grants emergency authority to CDC to use diagnostic and therapeutic tools, including a diagnostic test that amplifies the genetic material of the swine flu virus. FDA also grants authority to CDC to distribute the test to qualified public health laboratories.
