NIBIB FY 2009 Financial Management Plan

Year Adjustments:
BRP and P41 grants funded for 5 years if requested. Other R01 awards will be limited to 4 years.

Notes:
+ For new investigators the percentile will be 5% higher or 24%.

# P41, BRP and P01 applications will be considered on a case by case basis. NIBIB anticipates funding five to seven competing BRP or P01 grants and three to five competing P41 grants in FY 2009.

## No fixed payline exists for F awards. A limited number of awards are available for highly meritorious applications.

* Funding plans for T32 awards in FY 2009 will be based on available funds and programmatic considerations. The great majority of funds for T32 awards in FY 2009 will go toward funding NIBIB/HHMI interdisciplinary research training awards.

** New K awards will be highly competitive.

*** Payline will be adjusted to meet the set aside. Current estimate is a payline of 150.
