Lessons aligned to state standards

The NIH curriculum supplements are now aligned to state education standards in science, mathematics, English language arts, and health. Our new State Standards Web page allows you to find which standards are met by a specific supplement and vice versa.

New titles in development

NIH is partnering with BSCS to develop two new curriculum supplements. One is for high school on evolution in medicine. The other is on inquiry and the study of rare diseases for middle school. These lessons will be field tested in schools nationwide in early 2010.

Out-of-print titles being revised

The four out-of-print NIH curriculum supplements for high school are being updated and reprinted. In spring 2009, we expect to release new versions of Human Genetic Variation, Emerging and Re-emerging Infectious Diseases, Cell Biology and Cancer, and The Brain: Understanding Neurobiology Through the Study of Addiction
