RI Airport Corporation Maintenance of Effort, Section 1201

The Governor certifies that the State of Rhode Island will maintain its effort with regard to State funding for the types of projects in the Rhode Island Airport Corporation “covered programs” funded under ARRA.

    The Governor certifies that the State of Rhode Island will maintain its effort with regard to State funding for the types of projects in the Department of Transportation “covered programs” under ARRA.

    Transportation Infrastructure

    3/2/09

    The Governor certifies a list of planned infrastructure investments to be funded with American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds under Division A, Title XV, Section 1511 from the Federal Highway Administration and Federal Transit Administration.

    Energy Assurances

    2/26/09

    The Governor certifies the state’s commitment to participate in the share of the $3.1 billion funding for the State Energy Program (SEP) under American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Division A, Title IV, Section 410. In his certification letter, the Governor provided assurances that Rhode Island is committed to prioritizing the state’s energy investments to take advantage of existing programs and expand programs where appropriate.

    Acceptance of ARRA Funds

    The Governor certifies that the State of Rhode Island will request and use funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) under Division A, Title XVI, Section 1607 . The ARRA requires state governors to certify that their states will request and use funds to support activities that will create jobs and economic development.

    Unemployment Insurance Benefits

    2/19/09

    The Governor signs an agreement to accept federal unemployment insurance funds increasing benefits by an additional $25 per week under Division B, Title II, Section 2002.
