Recovery.iowa.gov is about letting Iowans know what the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act will mean to our state. At the same time, we want to hear from you. If you have any questions about the federal economic recovery program – and if you have ideas about how it can help – we want to know. Please send us an email with your questions and suggestions.

In December and January, the Governor’s Office contacted counties, cities and school districts in December, asking them to submit potential projects ideas. This was done in anticipation of both a federal economic recovery package as well as a state infrastructure plan, recently proposed by Governor Culver. To date, more than 3,800 projects from all 99 counties have been recommended. You can view the current list here.
