Paving the Road to College: How School Counselors Help Students Succeed
This recent evaluation study (2008) examines the beneftis to Chicago Public Schools (CPS) students when school counselors implement key components of a comprehensive school counseling program as well as actions to support counselors. Revised Regulations Strengthen the National Apprenticeship System
The Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration (ETA) revised regulations took effect on December 29, 2008. State Apprenticeship Agencies have up to an additional two years to implement necessary changes. Additional guidance is available at http://doleta.gov/oa/regulations.cfm.
The Connecticut Comprehensive School Counseling Program (2008) defines what students "will know and be able to do" as a result of participating in the comprehensive program.
