On February 17, 2009, President Barack Obama signed into law the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 which is designed to jumpstart the economy, create and protect jobs, and invest in key priorities.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act presents enormous opportunities for Rhode Island to move forward. As Governor, I want to take full advantage of the opportunities while being a responsible steward of taxpayer dollars. I am working closely with the General Assembly, our Congressional delegation, and our cities and towns to maximize the federal stimulus dollars available to Rhode Island, and to get our economy moving again.

This portal has been designed to be the central point of information for all activities related to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Specifically, you will find information about:

Programs & Projects: As information becomes available, this site will assist Rhode Islanders in locating information about sources of funding, opportunities for competitive grants, and other assistance provided through the Recovery Act.

Transparency & Accountability: We will use this website to ensure strict accountability, oversight, and transparency. All certifications, reporting, project status, and expenditures related to the Recovery Act will be made available here.
