The Marathon Oil Company Foundation was established in 2001 to provide support for educational, health and human services, civic and community, environmental and social needs. Grants are awarded to nonprofit organizations whose programs operate within the United States, primarily in the major employing locations of Marathon Oil Company and Marathon Petroleum Company LLC. Foundation GuidelinesAn annual budget is compiled each fall for the following year (December—November). It is recommended that interested parties submit requests by year-end for consideration the following year. To apply for a grant, complete the online funding application and submit with the following attachments:
Applications are reviewed quarterly and the organization will be notified within approximately 120 days if approved.
