Integrated Gas

Marathon’s integrated gas business adds value through the development of opportunities created by the growing demand for natural gas. The Company is linking stranded natural gas resources with areas where a supply gap is emerging due to limited production growth and increasing demand. Integrated gas complements Marathon’s exploration and production operations and opens a wide array of investment opportunities designed to add sustainable value growth.

Like its integrated oil counterpart, integrated gas transforms natural gas resources into a range of downstream products including liquefied natural gas (LNG), ultra-clean fuels, special lubricants produced by gas-to-liquids (GTL) technologies and petrochemical feedstocks such as methanol. Gas may be used to generate power for local markets as well.
