How Old Are Vehicles in
Company Fleets?
- Fifty-nine percent of
the gasoline and diesel vehicles in Denver/Boulder fleets are less than 4
years old.
- Another twenty-three
percent are between 4 and 6 years old.
- High vehicle turnover
creates the opportunity for selling alternative-fuel vehicles to non-fleet
owners.
- But rapid turnover of
fleet vehicles means a shorter time in which to recover the investment cost
of alternative-fuel vehicles.
