The Media Library has moved to Auburn University's Ralph Brown Draughon Library. All of the videotapes have been transferred to RBDL. Audiotapes and slide sets are still located in Extension Communications. Check with Glenda James (jamesgp@aces.edu) for titles and availability. Livestock learning kits have been transferred to Bob Ebert (ebertra@auburn.edu).

Lin Thornton is the Distance Education Librarian and is your contact. She will be glad to help you if you have trouble using the system.

To borrow a videotape from RBDL:

  1. Determine of the videotape is available for loan. Go to the Libraries’ homepage (http://www.lib.auburn.edu). At the first screen, choose AUBIECat; from the next screen choose "Basic search." From that screen
    1. Enter the video title in the “Search for ‘box.
    2. Leave “Title” highlighted in the “Search by” box.
    3. Limit your seach by selecting “videorecordings” in the “Limit to” box.
  2. After you select a title from the list and decide you want borrow it:

    1. On-campus faculty and staff can request courier service: Choose "delivery services" from the top bar menu, and then choose "Campus Delivery Service" on the left side of the next page. Once you are on the Campus Delivery Service Log-in Page, complete the form. (Scroll down the page for further instructions).
    2. Field-based ACES employees: While at the record page of the videotape you want to borrow, select "Place request(s)" from the top or the bottom of the page and follow the log in directions. After you've logged in, choose "DE Loan Request Form" and click "ok." Fill in the required fields (be sure to enter the correct street address in shipping address field. The videos are shipped FedEx, 2nd day delivery) and submit the form. Videos are due back to the library 21 days after they are checked out to you.
