If You Complete An Online Application

We request your Social Security Number (SSN) to identify your records because other people may have the same name and birth date. The information we collect by using your SSN will be used for verifying student enrollment and transcripts and for computing statistics that will not identify you personally.

Giving us your SSN or any of the other information is voluntary. However, we cannot ensure the validity of your student transcript record if you do not give us the information we request.

Public Reporting Burden

The public reporting burden for this information collection varies on the specific activity use being requested.  The relevant burden for the Training application is 3 to 12 minutes. This burden estimate includes time for reviewing instructions, gathering and maintaining data and completing and reviewing form.  Direct comments regarding the burden estimate or any other aspect of the form to the Service Information Clearance Officer, Fish and Wildlife Service, Mail stop 222, Arlington Square, U.S. Department of the Interior, 1849 C Street, NW, Washington, DC 20240.

If You Send Us An Email Or A Forms Request

The information you provide to us as in an email to our Webmaster or NCTC Registrar web links is used solely to respond to your message and to help us get you the information you have requested. We treat E-mails the same way we treat letters sent to NCTC, we do not collect personal information for any purpose other than to respond to you. We collect personally identifiable information (name, email address, Social Security number, or other unique identifier) only if specifically and knowingly provided by you by means of our Online Registration.  We only share the information you give us with another government agency if your inquiry relates to that agency, or as otherwise required by law. We do maintain individual student records with the information you provide in order to entertain inquiries from the student themselves or from other Institutes of Higher Learning. We do not collect information for commercial marketing or give it to any private organizations.

Our web site has links to other federal agencies. We also link to other organizations' web sites when we have a good business reason to do so. This does not constitute an endorsement of their policies or products. Once you link to another site, you are subject to the privacy policy of the new site.
