Message Board

With the Nevada Parents' Message Board, is a UNR community forum that you are able to log on at your convenience to read and post messages that interest to you. A few forum topics include: Advice, Security Issues, On & Off-Campus Housing and many more!

 

This system was designed to ensure your anonymity. To register, follow the Nevada Parents' Message Board link, and then click on the register button at the top of the page. Your name and your student’s R-number will be required to verify that you are the parent of a current Nevada student. Once you register, you will make you own password to make logging in even more convenient in the future!

Parents' Network

The Parents' Network, a collaboration of key campus departments, was designed as a resource for the parents and families of University of Nevada, Reno students.

Escort Service

Our objective is to provide a safe transportation alternative to people on campus after normal business hours and to maintain a safe campus. In order to provide these services through walking or driving, our courtesy starts with a smile and ends with a safe arrival at the destination. Click HERE to learn more about the service.

 

Campus Police

University Police Services is a fully functional law enforcement agency. Officers have full police powers; certified under the laws of the state of Nevada. Officers patrol 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Click HERE to learn more about our police department.

 

Student Life
Student Health Services

The Student Health Center is staffed full-time with licensed health care professionals including physicians, practitioners, nursing staff, and pharmacy staff. No appointments are necessary Monday through Friday 8am-4pm. The principle responsibility of the SHC staff is to provide health services to all enrolled students. Transportation
Automobiles

The campus parking system is a self-supporting enterprise. We receive no state appropriations. Therefore, all parking expenses are paid from the fees paid by students, faculty, staff and others who park here. Campus provides two forms of parking:

  • meters ($1.50/hour, enforced Monday-Thursday 7:30am to 8:00pm and Friday 7:30am to 5:00pm) and
  • permits: daily, semester or annual

Bicycles

For your convenience, bicycle lockers are available on campus for a fee of $20 per year as well as a $40 refundable deposit on a locker key. Please contact the Parking and Transportation Services office to find out the availability of bike lockers and for a bike locker application. Campus Shuttles

The Campus Shuttle Service at the University of Nevada, Reno is quick and convenient. All three shuttle routes are FREE! Shuttle service is available from 7:30am to 10:00pm Monday through Thursday and 7:30 am to 5:30 pm on Friday. Click HERE to view shuttle map.

 

Motorcycles

Motorcycles and motor scooters must be registered with the Parking and Transportation Services Department and must display a valid university parking permit on the right front fork or fender. Motorcycle permits are required on campus from 7:30am to 8:00pm Monday through Thursday and 7:30am to 5:00pm on Fridays. Click HERE to contact Parking and Transportation Services.
