Women’s Circle

Every Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. is Young Women’s Drum Practice followed by Women’s Circle from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Women’s Circle is supported by 7th Generation, Behavioral Health Program and the Healthy Start Outreach of Nimkee Clinic.

The opportunity for traditional and cultural gathering of women is very important to be able to better understand the roles and responsibilities of the Native American Woman today. The Women’s Circle is a supporting and non-discriminatory group that join together once a week to better our community through sharing and teaching. “We want to come together to maintain balance…to thank the creator, to acknowledge and honor all of what we have to be thankful for…”

All women and all ages are invited (pre-school age are to be accompanied by an adult)

  • Every Monday in September Men’s Group from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
    This takes place in Yellow office in the Conference room, but if they get a lot of men coming in it will be in the Ceremonial Building.
  • Every Tuesday in September Sacred Fire from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Ceremonial Buildingand also Women’s Circle from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. This takes place in the Ceremonial Building.
  • Every Wednesday in September Regalia Classes in the old kitchen, which is now the craft room classes are from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
  • Every Thursday in September is Canning Classes from 5 -9 p.m. in the new kitchen which is the ceremonial building.
  • Sacred Fire is Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m. in the ceremonial building, and then we have Talking Circle from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Ceremonial building.

Please call to reserve a spot for any of the Classes at 775-4780. Men’s Group, Sacred Fire and Women’s Circle open to everyone.
