The U.S. Department of Education (Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools) is seeking applicants for grants to develop, enhance, implement, and evaluate campus-and community-based strategies to prevent high-risk drinking or violent behavior among college students. By networking with others throughout the nation, attendees will have the opportunity to learn better practices and implement them in their home communities. The 2007 Road to Reentry Defendant/Offender Workforce Development Conference is hosted by the United States Probation Office (Western District of North Carolina) in partnership with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the National Career Development Association, National Institute of Corrections, Office of Probation and Pretrial Services Administrative, Office of the U.S. Courts, and the United States Probation Office (Eastern District of Missouri).
