Learning Assistance

Learning Assistance Services at the College of Menominee Nation provide one-on-one and small group discussion opportunities for students taking GER (General Education Proficiency Requirements) course in College Algebra, Intro to Microcomputers, Oral Communications, Intro to College English, College English & Research and other subjects upon request.

Our tutors are chosen by faculty and LAC (Learning Assisting Center) staff for their competence as successful students in their coursework and for their ability to lead discussions and model successful learning strategies. Our tutors are apprenticing in their areas of concentration and bring enthusiasm as well as learning tools to the discussions that they lead.

What is LAC Tutoring Services?

Learning Assistance Services, located in the CMN Learning Assisting Center offers a variety of services including;

  • Peer-group discussions for GER Course.
  • One-on-One assistance in reading, writing and study techniques.
  • One-on-One assistance in most subjects for students with learning needs.

Test-Proctoring provides accommodations for students who need to make up and/or need extra time taking tests.

The peer-learning provides on-campus one-on-one and small group discussion for GER course. Our focus is on collaborative learning-students helping students.
