In the upper-left hand corner of the screen, click on the link to your Control Panel, or enter your email address and/or password to log in. Then, click on the tab “Groups and Listings.” Next to the name of your group, click the “Edit & Post” link. Select the listing type (e.g. job or internship) and then next to the listing name click on the corresponding link (update/delete/archive).

Before November 2006, Idealist had a different log-in system in which organizations were able to sign in using their organization’s name and password. Now, in order to access your organization’s account, you’ll need to first sign up as an individual. Click here to get started.

Once you create an individual account and gain access to your group account, managing you group account is easy! You simply log in to your individual account with your email and password to get to your Control Panel. Under the “Groups and Listings” tab you will find your organization and a link to “Edit & Post.”

If your organization is not already registered, you can add your organization/group.

To post on Idealist you must sign up for an individual account. Once you complete this process you can create an account for your organization or group. If you are not sure if you have an individual account, click here.

Posting on Idealist is almost always free, with only two exceptions: First, consultants and U.S.-based organizations are charged $60 per job listing. (All other listings, including internships and volunteer opportunities, are free for everyone. Organizations outside the United States can also post jobs for free.) Second, listing yourself or your company in the Consultant Directory requires a membership fee of $50 for six months or $95 for a year.
