The Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust was established in 1947. The mission of the Trust is to improve the quality of life and quality of health for the financially needy of North Carolina.

Across its two divisions, the Health Care Division and the Poor and Needy Division, the Trust is committed to accelerating positive movement on critical community issues and effecting enduring systemic change.

Grant Application Process

Before you begin the application process, please go to the preliminary steps page to answer critical questions that will help you determine whether your program is a good match for Trust funding.

An advance consultation with a program officer is the first step in the official application process.

  • To schedule an advance consultation with a Health Care Division program officer, call 1-866-551-0690 to speak with Shinika McKiever, the Program Assistant.
  • To schedule an advance consultation regarding a Winston-Salem/Forsyth County program or project, call 336-397-5503 to speak with Joyce Adger, Director of the Poor and Needy Division.
