Animal Waste ManagementThe USEPA estimates that there are 1.3 million farms with livestock and poultry in the United States. Managing these farms to minimize excess nutrients, pathogens, and odors released into the environment is important to our natural resources and to human health. Our programs help farmers manage their animal waste in economically viable, environmentally responsible ways to prevent pollution and health risks.
