DEQ Low Interest Loans for
Agricultural Best Management Practices

    The DEQ Agricultural Best Management Practices Loan Program provides Virginia agricultural producers with a low interest financing alternative for costs associated with the implementation of specified practices (BMPs) which relate to water quality improvement in the Commonwealth.

From its beginning in January 2000 through January 2008 the DEQ Virginia Ag BMP loan program provided a total of $26,302,399.81 dollars in low interest loans to 327 Virginia agricultural producers who were implementing Best Management Practices that will improve water quality in the Commonwealth.
