Dominion’s Strong
Men and Women: Excellence in Leadership Series annually recognizes the achievements
of outstanding African-American men and women.
In its 19th year, Dominion honored the contributions of nine influential African-American leaders.
As part of the program’s writing contest, high school
students from Virginia and Ohio were recognized for their essays on the African-American
men and women who inspire them. Each student
winner received a laptop computer and a $1,000 grant for their school.
