Mr. Ray R. Hutto
of Damascus, Arkansas has been a cooperative observer for the National
Weather Service for 30 years. He has measured rainfall and mailed his measurements
to the National Weather Service at the end of each month. These measurements are
sent to the National Climatic Data Center in Asheville, North Carolina and eventually
published to become a part of the permanent record of the world's weather. For his efforts, Mr. Hutto
received a 30 Year Length-of-Service Award in August, 1999. In the last few years,
he has been assisted by his wife. |
