Mr. Ted R.
Buford of Briggsville, Arkansas has been a cooperative observer for the National Weather
Service for 15 years (as of November, 2000). He has been instrumental in observing and
reporting rainfall in his area, and has mailed his measurements to the National Weather
Service at the end of each month. These measurements are sent to the National
Climatic Data Center in Asheville, North Carolina and eventually published to become a
part of the permanent record of the world's weather. For his efforts, Mr. Buford received a 15
Year Length-of-Service Award from the National Weather Service. |
