GreenSchools! Program

The GreenSchools! Initiative is a new national environmental education initiative, currently in development, targeting PreK through 12th grade students and educators. This program will connect classroom curriculum to complex and challenging environmental issues to students inside their school buildings, on their school grounds, and within their communities. The program will have three components:

1.
Professional Development Training: Preparing School Teams
2.
Environmental School Audits (ESAs): Focusing in on Action Project Topics
3.GreenWorks! Environmental Action Grants: Improving Schools and Communities

Please note that the GreenSchools! Program is currently in development. Schools will begin pilot testing the program in fall 2008. If your school would like to become involved, please contact Al Stenstrup, Director, Curriculum Programs.
